What is E?
E is our main private AI. There is only one E — the same one for every user, led by a primary AI with a team of specialized models behind it.
What is E actually for?
E is a thinking partner. Use it for honest answers and working through real problems — health, money, relationships, personal decisions, taboo topics, hard questions. E is built for reasoning and truth, not for generating long documents, production code, or marketing content.
Can E write my essay, novel, or code for me?
Not really — and that’s on purpose. E will help you think through any of those projects, give you outlines, frameworks, feedback, and key ideas. But E is optimized for reasoning, not for producing thousands of words of finished content or production software. Use a dedicated tool for those jobs, and use E for the thinking behind them.
Can E generate images or speak out loud?
No. E reads text and images — you can send it a photo and ask what you’re looking at — but E’s output is text only. No image generation, no voice, no audio. We’d rather do one thing at the level you deserve than bolt on gimmicks that don’t serve the mission.
Does E have access to current information?
No. E reasons from what it learned during training, not from live web data. That means E doesn’t know today’s news, current prices, recent events, or anything that’s changed since its training.
This is intentional. E is built for the questions that need thinking, not the questions that need lookup — your health, your relationships, your money, your hard personal decisions. Most of those questions aren’t about what happened today; they’re about how to think clearly about something that matters to you.
For current events, prices, or breaking news, use a real-time search tool. For thinking through what those things mean for your life — that’s what E is for.
Are there limits on how much I can use E?
Yes. Each plan includes a monthly allowance of conversations with E. Sovereign subscribers get a higher allowance plus priority access during peak hours. Most users never hit the cap — the limits exist to keep the service fast and fair for everyone on our private hardware.
Does The Garden count against my message limit?
No. The Garden grows on its own in the background, and that growth never counts against your monthly conversations with E. Your monthly messages cover the direct conversations you have with E. The Garden is continuous by design — that’s the whole point.
What is The Garden?
The Garden is a living second brain that grows on its own. You start it with a few notes — ideas, book summaries, lessons, reflections — and E tends it in the background. It makes connections, strengthens old entries, and occasionally asks you a question to guide its next growth cycle. Over time it becomes a compounding record of how you think. One Garden per user, available on the Sovereign tier.
Is The Garden safe? What if E changes something I wanted kept?
Every change E proposes is reviewable. You can lock entries so they’re never edited, roll back any change to any prior version, pause background growth anytime, and export your entire Garden as Markdown whenever you want. Nothing is silently overwritten.
Do I need to install anything?
No. Just go to EpistoAI.com and log in from any device with a browser.
Is my data private?
Yes. Everything stays on our own hardware. No cloud company sees your conversations. No one else reads them.
Why is E different in how it answers?
Because truthful answers require directness. Most AI platforms refuse to engage with real life — health questions, personal situations, hard conversations — out of corporate caution. E is built to answer honestly and completely, respecting your intelligence as an adult.
How is E different from ChatGPT or other AIs?
Three ways. First, E runs entirely on our own hardware, so no cloud company sees your conversations. Second, E is led by a primary AI working with specialists, so answers have more depth. Third, E is narrowly focused on being a thinking partner — we don’t try to be a code editor or document generator, which is why the thinking is actually good.
Why does Sovereign cost more?
Sovereign gets you The Garden — a feature that requires E to work on your knowledge in the background, on dedicated hardware, continuously. That kind of per-user compute is structurally impossible for cloud AI services to offer at any reasonable price. You’re paying for something real that doesn’t exist anywhere else.
Can I cancel anytime?
Yes. Cancel anytime, no contracts.
